In Touch Resort (Hotel Review) – Koh Tao, Thailand

Best for...

Sleeping in a clean bed, walking into the ocean in the morning, exploring Sairee Beach in the evening.

Thanks to Akira at reception, I had a taxi arranged for me at a great price, picking me up from another hotel and making my journey to the resort hassle-free. Plus, my room was ready early – a delightful surprise!

At $50 a night, you’re paying for the location! The hotel is beachfront and located on walking street. However, I did feel like this place was a tad over priced. However, my room did have two beds and I was able to split the cost with a friend for $25 each. That’s not bad.

Room and Bed

The rooms at In Touch Resort have potential but could use some improvements. The decor is minimalistic yet comfortable, providing all the essentials for a pleasant stay. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable sleep. However, my friend staying in another room reported issues with her air conditioning, so it might be wise to double-check upon arrival.

Food and Drink

Relax at the shore at In Touch Resort.

The resort boasts its own restaurant right on the beach. The ambiance is wonderful and the resort is packed with other travelers. The food was okay but a little pricey for Thai food. However, the 50 baht smoothies are a must. If you’re seeking food diversity, the walking street nearby offers a plethora of cheaper dining options.

Noise & Smell

Many of the rooms are tucked away from the restaurant in a garden location, so there was no noise in my room. No weird smells either.

You can relax in the garden at In Touch Resort.

Do I feel safe?

Yes. Despite being located in a vibrant area, the resort offers a safe and secure environment for all guests.

Social Vibe

With its bustling restaurant full of fellow travelers, In Touch Resort has a vibrant social vibe. It’s a great place to meet new friends and share travel stories.

Evenings are a great time to socialize and meet new friends at In Touch Resort.

While the resort doesn’t offer boat booking services, they can help arrange taxis. I love that they have a driver on-site. I got his phone number and would call him to pick me up and take me around town for cheap.

The main highlight is undoubtedly the beachfront restaurant, where you can enjoy your meals with a stunning ocean view.

Unfortunately, the WIFI in my room was a bit unreliable. I was, however, able to get decent WIFI at the restaurant.

Staff Hospitality

The staff at In Touch Resort are generally helpful and friendly…if you can find them. When they were at the front desk, they were lovely. But I found myself playing receptionist for other guests because they do seem understaffed during busy times. A bit of patience goes a long way.

Not really. They use plastic straws and plastic water bottles. Bring your own reusable straw with you.

I was surprised that they couldn’t book my boat for me. In this case, just walk to Revolution Hostel and book from there.

Value for Money

Considering the location, amenities, and overall experience, In Touch Resort offers good value for money. So pack your bags and get ready for a tropical adventure you won’t forget!

Overall - 7/10 Rating

My overall experience at In Touch Resort was okay. While there were areas for improvement, the beautiful location made up for it enough to earn a 7/10 rating from me.
