Book this Food Tour with my brother, Arta @Yande_UbudDriver.

Here is a list of the five local dishes you must try in Ubud, Bali!

I recently went on an Indonesian food tour with my Balinese brother, Arta. I asked him to take me to the most local Balinese restaurants and help me create a Bali food tour for you!

1. Babi Guling

The secret is they bathe the pig in coconut water to make the skin crispy!

An Indonesian veggie dish with tempe and peanut sauce!

Gado Gado is my favorite Indonesian dish. Here is how to order this dish in Indonesian: Gado Gado adalah makanan kesukaan saya.

3. Lawar (and Sate Babi)

Arta’s parents have unforunately closed their warung (that means “restaruant in Indonesian) but here is another place you can try Lawar.

4. Nasi Campur

Try Nasi Campur when you're in Bali.

Campur means “mix”. Nasi Campur is typically a food platter with fried noodles, fried Tempe, satay, mixed vegetables, and other goodies of the day. You will find Nasi Campur everywhere but here is one of my favorite Nasi Campur spots in Canggu…

Warung Bu Mi

It’s one of the cheapest places to eat. You point and pick what you want on your plate.

5. Mie Goreng

Mie Goreng is another well know dish you must try in Bali.

Literally just fried noodles. Whenever I’m in doubt of what to order, this is what I get. Top it with kechep manis (sweet sauce) and order it with a beer! It’s cheap and filling!
